Why light is a wave?

Hi. If you've somehow stumbled onto here to actually understand why light is a wave, i'm really sorry. I'm a second year undergraduate physics student and the only reason I decided to create this was because I was bored and wanted to prove to myself that I could mathematically prove this thing if I wanted to. And the math is honestly not that hard if you don't really care about the intuition behind this.
